Lanie's Cafe first opened its doors on June 1, 2001 and quickly became a cornerstone of the Colonie area. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere has enabled this small, family owned restaurant to grow and develop over the years. Boasting a menu that fits almost any occasion, Lanie’s Café is a great place for a nice evening out, a laid back day on the patio, or perhaps a place to stop for a quick drink on your way home.
Lanie Lansing opened the Café with hopes and aspirations of turning the location into something new and spectacular. Lanie’s Café has revitalized their current location, bringing business back to the Kimberly Square Plaza. Lanie’s business model was simple yet precisely what the industry needed; a nice place to eat with a great atmosphere, plenty of character, that still truly cared about what the customer really wants. After going strong for 10 years her attitude hasn’t changed. She still prides herself and her staff on tirelessly working to provide an unbeatable experience that will be remembered.
Lanie is more than just a name though, she has been an icon in the community for many years. Lanie and her husband Dan are Colonie natives, having grown up and worked in the area since they were young. Much of our clientele has been with Lanie long before the start of the Café. Lanie has worked in the restaurant industry for years, many may remember her from her time at the Cranberry Bog, Maxie’s, Rafferty’s, or perhaps Ralph’s (just to name a few). Packing years of experience, a fun and knowlegable staff, Lanie has created Loudonville’s little piece of heaven, and plans to keep it that way for years to come. |
